“Why Bag Design? The Beginning of My Creative Journey”
Sometimes, destiny hides in a single design.
For me, it all began with a bag ,the first product I ever created.
Back in 2000, I designed what we later called the Flintstone Bag a piece so unexpected, so different, that it exploded onto the market overnight.
I couldn’t have predicted it. The response was electric.
That one bag opened the door to everything that followed my brand, my career, and a lifelong love affair with design.
It was more than a success. It was a spark.
Something about that bag ignited a deep fascination I wanted to keep creating pieces that made people feelsomething.
Bags that stopped conversations, started stories, and became part of how someone expressed themselves.
I love that when someone carries one of my designs, people notice. They react. They ask questions.
It’s a moment of connection between the object, the maker, and the world around it.
The Golden Rules of My Craft
Over the years, I’ve learned that true bag design isn’t about following fashion it’s about refining a philosophy.
For me, that means:
-
Exquisite Materials always the best quality leathers, chosen by touch, not trend.
-
Custom Hardware designed from scratch to give each piece its signature strength.
-
Organic Shape every silhouette should feel fluid, sculpted, effortless.
-
A Hint of Attitude that quiet confidence that turns a simple accessory into a statement.
Even though I’ve never followed trends, I’ve always evolved.
We no longer carry the first Flintstone Bag we’ve moved forward, explored new forms, new techniques, new stories.
That’s the beauty of creation: it never stands still.
A Look Back at the Bags That Built My Story
In this blog, I wanted to take a moment to look back to celebrate the countless designs that have passed through my hands and the hands of my artisans.
Hundreds of bags, each with its own character, crafted for women who understand that carrying a bag isn’t just about function it’s about feeling.
Not every piece has been documented (I wish they had been), but many have and together, they tell the story of my evolution as a designer.
You’ll find a selection of those designs here:

Each bag, whether from the early years or the latest collection, holds the same DNA: strength, refinement, individuality.
Because at this point, the bag is no longer just a product to me it’s part of who I am.
